Tierra Verde Landscape snags statewide award from CLCA

Tierra Verde Landscape, located in Orange County, Calif., was awarded a Trophy Award from the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) for excellence in maintaining a large HOA community, the Waterfront Community Association in Huntington Beach, Calif.

“Our team is proud to be honored again with a CLCA statewide award,” said Steve Beckstrom, vice president at Tierra Verde Landscape. “Maintaining a large HOA is very hard work, but we love the challenge. The Waterfront Community landscape is beautiful and we are pleased that the judges agreed.”

Award entries in the CLCA Trophy Awards program are judged by a panel of expert landscape professionals from other regions in the state for quality of workmanship and materials. Each landscaping entry must adhere to industry standards and have properly shown an execution of detail in plant placement, turf conditions, functionality, efficiency of irrigation and overall presentation.

Tierra Verde Landscape has maintained the landscape at the Waterfront Community Association since 2007. Every plant is cut to its natural form, including the water-efficient plant materials Tierra Verde Landscape converted over the years, and the company maintains a fertigation system on the grounds.

“There are thousands of large HOA’s in California,” Beckstrom said. “To be selected as one of the best by a group of your peers is quite an accomplishment.”

Tierra Verde Landscape also was recognized by the Orange County CLCA with five local awards in August 2013.
