Walker advances brand, restores logo

Walker Manufacturing Co. redesigned its logo as part of a 10-month development project to update the company’s corporate brand.

“My dad (Max Walker) always said your first impression was the right impression,” said President Bob Walker. “(He) designed all of our logos from the late ’50s and into the ’60s for the products we made.”

A third generation Walker family member, Ryan Walker said the challenge of the brand update went beyond the remaking of the logo, though.

“The new brand identifies with our existing customers while reaching out to younger lawn mower enthusiasts,” Ryan Walker said. “When we went into this project, we asked our marketing team to maintain the legacy look while giving us a logo that can be used on our product and in a variety of spaces that we may not have know 10 years ago.”

The logo will be update on products this fall and new marketing and dealer items are now available to Walker distributors and dealers. An update to Walker’s website also is scheduled for early November.
