Wealth summit to be held pre-GIE+EXPO

A new event about how to create and accumulate wealth as a landscape business owner launches this year prior to GIE+EXPO in Louisville, Ky., with LandCare CEO Mike Bogan as the keynote speaker.

The Wealth Building Summit, to be held Oct. 21, is organized by consultants Jeffrey Scott of Jeffrey Scott Consulting and Ron Edmonds of The Principium Group.

Bogan will share his insights on the industry; his experiences from 25 years in the landscape business, including his time at Brickman; and his involvement with acquisitions, integrations, private equity and what buyers are looking for.

The all-day program includes:

• Presentations by Edmonds and Scott;

• A keynote presentation and Q&A with Bogan;

• A panel discussion with owners who have hands-on experience in the acquisition or sale of a business;

• Networking and more.

Organizers say the program will help lawn and landscape business owners understand how to develop a plan for building wealth, understand their options for succession and expand the value of their businesses.

Seats are limited to 50. The Summit will be held at the Hyatt Regency Louisville. There is an early-bird discount for attendees who enroll by Aug. 15.
