Wildman, Soufi join CSI

PASADENA, TEXAS—Control Solutions Inc. (CSI) has hired Mark Wildman as Mid-South area sales manager of its turf group, and Dr. Rami Soufi in the newly developed role of vice president of business development.

Based in Huffman, Texas, Wildman has been highly recommended by several key distributors in the Mid-South area. He will be working with and calling on distributors in Texas, Lousiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado and New Mexico. He will be responsible for training and working with distribution to grow the Quali-Pro brand of products into the golf, lawn care, nursery and greenhouse markets.

Wildman comes to CSI from Coastal Spraying Service in Pasadena, Texas, where he managed the aquatics business since 2009. He began his career with Monsanto in 1980, working in the Houston agricultural market. He was promoted to the Turf & Ornamental group in 1987, where he developed many relationships working the lawn care, landscape, and golf markets. In addition to promoting Roundup, Wildman was involved with the field development and sales of Dimension and Certainty herbicides.

Soufi comes to CSI with a 20-year-plus track record of innovation and success across highly competitive agrochemical, specialties and consumer markets for The Scotts Co., Uniroyal, Rohm & Haas and Gemplers. He has the responsibility for bringing new products into the company through relationships with third-party organizations and directing the internal Professional Product Development within CSI.

Soufi will be relocating to the Houston area from Columbus, Ohio, where he previously held the position of vice president of Global Controls Research and Development at Scotts. He joined Scotts in 2002 and earned five promotions during his tenure. He holds a doctorate in plant pathology from Oklahoma State University and a master’s of business administration degree from Lehigh University.
