Workshops, HNA demos unveiled for 2014 GIE+EXPO

Workshops and related events have been solidified for the 2014 GIE+EXPO and Hardscape North America (HNA), scheduled for October 23-24 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky.

The GIE+EXPO workshops are samples of more extensive education curricula offered at the show by its sponsors: Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI), Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) and Professional Landcare Network (PLANET).

Likewise, HNA sponsor, Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI), has a hand in the HNA events—each HNA demo is eligible for one ICPI certified installer continuing education (CE) credit. (CE tracking forms will be available at the HNA registration desk.)

• 3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.—PLANET Workshop: Marketing That’s More than Lead Generation

Friday, October 24: 

• 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.—PLANET Workshop: Adopting Best Practices in Advanced Snow Management
• 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.—PLANET Workshop: Cycle and Soak: The Methods and Reasons
• 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.—PLANET Workshop: Advanced Snow Management Focus: Equipment Capacity & Managing Expectations
• 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.—PLANET Workshop: Utilizing Drip (Micro) Irrigation
• 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.—PLANET Workshop: Business Essentials: Do the Right Things and Do Things Right
• 3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.—PLANET Workshop: Controlling the Sales Beast.  Sales Systems and Finding Peace

A $50 advanced registration fee is required for each of the GIE+EXPO workshops. Those who register for one of the hardscape workshops listed above also will be admitted free to the technique demos in the HNA outdoor arena tent listed below. Those who only want to attend the HNA demonstrations and trade show can upgrade their registration for $25 to include all the following demos.
