The annual gathering is set for Oct. 16-18 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky., and online registration is available at here. Early bird registration is $15 through Sept. 5.

“GIE+EXPO is the place to be for landscape professionals and dealers who want to take their company to the next level,” said Kris Kiser, managing partner of GIE+EXPO and president of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI). “Plan to land in Louisville this October for the industry’s biggest show  it’s the place to be if you’re in the outdoor living and equipment business.”

The show floor will open for dealers Wednesday at 11 a.m. Dealers, distributors, retailers and the media are invited to this exclusive preview. All attendees are invited beginning at 3 p.m., which includes a welcome reception which goes until 7 p.m. Thursday hours — indoors and out — are 9 a.m. through 5 p.m.; on Friday, the indoor exhibits will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and outdoor exhibits will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Attendees will have the chance to win both cash and product prizes valued at up to $20,000. Entries for the Fabulous Friday giveaway and UTV giveaway are included with show badges, and many exhibitors plan giveaways for attendees who visit their booths during the show.

GIE+EXPO 2019 is sponsored by OPEI, Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) and National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP).

Additionally, the keynote speaker for landscape and hardscape contractors at the 2019 event, “Never Fly Solo,” will feature Lt. Col. Rob “Waldo” Waldman, who motivates business owners and crew members alike to trust their wingmen. The keynote is set for Oct. 16, 2-3 p.m. Admission to the keynote, which is sponsored by John Deere, is included with registration.

“John Deere is thrilled to support the second joint keynote address with the GIE+EXPO and its partners  OPEI, NALP, PGMS and the Institute of the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (Hardscape North America),” said Ken Taylor, John Deere. “We are confident that this year’s keynote address will be a highlight of the 2019 GIE+EXPO, and we look forward to welcoming such a decorated American, Lt. Col. Waldo Waldman, to our industry’s biggest stage.”

Waldman overcame a lifelong battle with claustrophobia and a fear of heights to become a highly decorated fighter pilot with more than 65 real world combat missions. His experiences, both in the military and business, have taught him that success is about camaraderie, courage and a commitment to excellence. His energetic keynote is about focusing on what really matters in business, such as building high-performance, trusting teams and fully serving customers and coworkers.
