Greenscape, a full-service landscape firm based in Holly Springs, N.C., merged with Turftenders, based in Raleigh, N.C. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“Turftenders is a good fit strategically, logistically and culturally with our current business and helps move us towards our vision for the future,” said Daniel Currin, president of Greenscape.

Turftenders will add approximately 35 employees and $2.5 million in annual revenue to Greenscape, which ranked No. 131 on the 2018 LM150 list of largest landscape companies, with $15.2 million in 2017 revenue and more than 140 employees.

The partnership will contribute to Greenscape’s growth, the company said. With current branches in Raleigh, Durham and Holly Springs, N.C., the merger allows for expansion with an additional branch in North Raleigh, led by Steve Hill. Hill is the former owner and president of Turftenders and will stay on as a senior business developer.
