This view captures the overall feel of the resort-like space. The materials and layout were designed to reflect the clients’ modern taste.
The original design concept, including a covered outdoor kitchen, spa, fire table, deck and abundant green space, all centered around the 70-ft. swimming pool.

While the pool and surroundings are the focal point of the project, here is its hidden gem: a rainbow garden for the homeowners’ son. Its goal is to provide as much color as possible, while keeping bee traffic to a minimum. The spa was also give an Ipe surround for a custom look.

The outdoor kitchen features a bar with waterfall granite countertops, an outdoor TV and a lowered table height for accessibility.
Complete construction plans were required for submittals and permitting. This view includes the kitchen and coordination for the roof structure footing.

THE DETAILS: The clients set out to create an at-home resort they could enjoy at their leisure with their special-needs child. The rear yard functions as a therapeutic space and also provides entertainment space for family and friends.
The Hidden Creek team had to marry the yard’s different elevations to create an accessible space. Also, all utilities located in the back corner of the lot had to be screened from view but still accessible for service.
Accessibility was achieved by using non-skid materials, proper table heights, ramps where necessary and matching up thresholds to eliminate steps wherever possible.
The homeowner contracted all swimming-pool design and construction. All details, including tile and coping, were selected prior to Hidden Creek’s involvement.
