Companies in the News: Gelderman receives local awards, Swingle opens a new branch; Dentco expands

Gelderman Landscape Services in Waterdown, Ontario, was named Employer of the Year by the Burlington Chamber of Commerce. The award was presented April 7 at the Chamber’s Gala at the Burlington Convention Centre, where it handed out its annual Business Excellence Awards. Gelderman was also given an Outstanding Business Award from the Flamborough Chamber of Commerce earlier in April.

Dentcoa full-service exterior services management company, is expanding and enhancing its workspace after back-to-back years of 20 percent increases in year-over sales. The company will increase space at its corporate office by 35 percent, enhance server technology and add a VoIP phone system and a new card security system. It will also upgrade its smartphone app, Dentco Verified, which connects the company’s customer network. The enhancements are expected to be completed by this summer.

Swingle Lawn, Tree and Landscape Care opened a new branch in Firestone, Colo. The ribbon cutting ceremony was held April 7 at the Firestone branch. Northern Colorado Regional Manager Tom Lynch said the facility will employe 50 people, and the company hopes to add another 75 as it expands its service area. Located at 4104 Sable Ave. in Firestone, Swingle’s new northern Colorado regional headquarters will provide residential and commercial lawn care, tree service, pest control and holiday lighting.
