Heron Lawn & Pest opens new branch

|

Heron Lawn & Pest Control, based in Apopka, Fla., opened its seventh branch location in Kissimmee, Fla. The branch will provide lawn, pest, termite, irrigation and landscape lighting services. Fifteen employees will work at the new branch to service approximately 2,000 customers.

“This is a special milestone for our team,” said President Rodney Lackey. “When we started the business 11 years ago, some of our first customers were in Osceola County. We couldn’t be more excited to open a location to best serve our Osceola and Polk County residents.”

Heron chose to open the branch at the time and location it did based on revenue and sales. The company’s 2012 lawn care revenue was more than $11 million. It plans to open an additional branch in Waterford Lakes of East Orlando within the next year.

“The revenue that the branch produces lets us know when the time is right,” says Cherissa Vandergiff, Heron’s marketing director. “At a certain point a branch has to be split when it gets to a certain operating level. That way you can insure policies and procedures are being obtained.”
