Excel Industries launched Hustler Turf Equipment’s Super 88 stand-on mower at GIE+EXPO.

“This mower solves problems, helping to reduce operator fatigue while providing the agility to maneuver in tight spaces,” said Adam Mullet, vice president, sales and new products for Excel Industries.

The Super 88 features two engine options: A Vanguard 36-hp carbureted engine and a Vanguard 37-hp EFI engine with Vanguard’s oil guard system. It also has a 14-gallon total fuel capacity.

“The new mower is designed with the cut quality of a 54-inch deck and the productivity of an 88-inch cut,” said Brad Unruh, director of new product development, Hustler

The Super 88 will be available for purchase in early 2020.

Hustler Turf has also refreshed the TrimStar and Super 104. TrimStar models now feature an electric start and a 5-inch deck. TrimStar’s frame upgrade boasts increased strength through larger cross tubes.

Offering a 104-inch width of cut, zero-turn precision and up an 11-mph speed, the Super 104 now offers a Vanguard EFI with oil guard and a redesigned belly pan.

BigDog Mower Co. displayed a refreshed version of the Hike with a 5-inch deck depth and 20-inch rear tires. Hike now boasts an electric start standard on all models.

An upgraded frame uses larger cross tubes and added gussets. The Hike’s update improves park brake lever engagement with added low friction sleeve bushings and an ergonomic knob.
