Enhanced Landscape Management (ELM), the maintenance division of Landscape Development Inc. (LDI), based in Valencia, Calif., acquired NewTex Landscape in Las Vegas.

LDI ranked No. 18 on the 2018 LM150 list with $79.5 million in 2017 revenue. Current annual revenue is now more than $110 million, according to the company. LDI/ELM acquired Chateau Landscape and Quality Landscape Care earlier this year.

NewTex’s staff of approximately 120 employees will be retained, and its former owner Michael Martinez will join the ELM executive team as regional manager.

“I have had the pleasure of getting to know the LDI/ELM team over the course of the past couple years,” Martinez said. “What started as a relationship between companies working to develop and deploy new technologies turned into an opportunity for us to align and grow stronger together. The cultural fit and opportunities for my employees were of the highest priority for me.”

ELM Division President Ron Reitz added, “This is a terrific addition of talent in a new market for LDI/ELM. It has been a goal of our company to stretch outside of California for some time now, and this opportunity brought us together with a great team of professionals in the southern Nevada market.”

NewTex will retain its brand identity for now. Soon, an expanded line of services will be added in the Las Vegas area, including commercial construction, erosion control, hydroseeding and design.

“This acquisition also allows us to provide additional services to our existing clients who operate in both California and Nevada,” Horton said. “We continue to pursue acquisition opportunities to grow our business and provide best-in-class service to our valued clients.”
