Lehr, a manufacturer of propane-powered products and tools, acquired EnviroGard, a division of Onyx Environmental Solutions focused on propane engines and conversion kits for gasoline engines.

Though terms were not disclosed, EnviroGard now is acting as a new division of Lehr and will continue to offer it’s current products and conversion kits to both original equipment manufacturers and their dealers.

“Here at Lehr, propane technology is a key driver in our business strategy, and EnviroGard is a terrific, strategic and financially compelling fit for our business,” CEO and Founder Bernardo Herzer said. “This acquisition will help expand our footprint into the outdoor power equipment markets, accelerating growth and building positive momentum for Lehr’s business in 2015 and beyond.”

Lehr’s manufacturing roots are in the marine propane-powered outboard market, for which it has earned awards and accolades from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Popular Science and Popular Mechanics magazines and the National Marine Manufacturers Association.
