Kim Lewey, co-owner of Raleigh, N.C.-based Lewey Landscaping & LawnCare, was named a winner of the 2013 Women in Business Awards from Triangle Business Journal. She is one of 26 recipients selected from among more than 160 entrants and is recognized in the family business category for her leadership of the company she operates with her husband.

“It is a true honor to be named a recipient of Triangle Business Journal’s Women in Business Award,” Lewey said. “There are many outstanding local women business leaders, which has helped grow the area to become what it is today. I cannot thank my husband and employees enough for the hard work they put forth every day to help our company continue to succeed. Without them, this award would have never been possible.”

Under her leadership, Lewey Landscaping & LawnCare exceeded 20 percent in revenue growth last year. Lewey oversees a staff of 10 employees and holds an active role in daily operations, managing marketing, customer relations and financing. The company also provides lawn maintenance services pro bono for the offices of Triangle Family Services.
