Kurtz Bros. acquired Earth ‘n Wood Products of Canton, Ohio. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Kurtz Bros. is a 71-year-old family business that provides customers with landscape products such as mulch, topsoil, compost and more while focusing on its “waste- to-resource” effort that takes waste streams and converts them to valuable products, according to the company.

“This acquisition allows us to expand our ‘waste-to-resource’ footprint into the Akron/Canton area by offering the same high-quality products and services that our customers have become accustomed to,” said John Kurtz, president of Kurtz Bros. “We are also excited to continue the legacy of Earth ‘n Wood, which has been in the Akron/Canton market for nearly 40 years.”

Craig Snee, former owner of Earth ‘n Wood, added, “My brother Wes and I are excited to partner with Kurtz Bros. to continue the legacy of Earth ‘n Wood into the future. We believe the combined companies will be able to continue to deliver outstanding service to our customers and continue the legacy that Wes and I started nearly 40 years ago.”
