PLANET Student Career Days set for March 7-10

HERNDON, VA—The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) has opened registration for companies that want attend the largest recruiting event in the industry. PLANET Student Career Days (SCD)—The National Collegiate Landscape Competition—will take place March 7–10, 2013, at Auburn University, in Auburn, Ala.

2013 marks the 37th year for the event, which is the largest education and skills competition as well as the largest career recruiting event for horticulture and landscape students in the country.

Student Career Days brings together approximately 900 students from more than 60 schools to demonstrate their skills in real-world, competitive events, and to interview with landscape, lawn care, irrigation, and other companies at the Career Fair, which will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013.

Approximately 50 companies participate in the Career Fair each year to meet and interview the nation’s top recruits. Many of the industry’s most influential companies also sponsor a competitive event at SCD.
