Eighteen Ruppert Landscape employees were honored at the company’s annual awards banquet held at the Turf Valley Resort.

“These awards spotlight exceptional individuals whose superior efforts and skills have benefited our customers and our employees,” said Phil Key, president of the Laytonsville, Md.-based company. “We are truly proud of each of these individuals and what they’ve accomplished.”

Jack Jones, region manager, was the recipient of the Clyde Vadner Merit Award, the company’s top honor that recognizes the individual who contributed continuous, consistent, long-term hard work, dedication and job skill that has helped to shape the company. Jones is a nine-year employee of the Ruppert.

“Jack exemplifies so many of the qualities that are the cornerstone of our Ruppert Values,” said Doug Halsey, regional VP of Ruppert’s landscape maintenance division. “Not only is he a charismatic leader that challenges people to be their best, he’s also created many initiatives that have generated efficiencies that have been adopted division-wide.”

The Achievement Award was bestowed to Darrin Middleton, field manager for the Maryland landscape construction branch. Middleton has been with Ruppert for 18 years and was given the award in recognition of his consistent job execution and willingness to continue to expand and grow in his position.

“Darrin embodies one of our core Ruppert values, that of continuous improvement,” said Bob Jones, president of the landscape construction division. “He has moved out of his comfort zone, embracing increasingly complicated projects that involve the coordination of many subs and he’s done so with great success. His work ethic and leadership style align well with our Ruppert values and he’s a good example for all of us.”
