Jason Vahle, owner of Green Thumb Lawncare N’ Landscape in St. Charles, Mo., joined the Spring-Green Lawn Care franchise system.

Vahle entered the green industry directly out of college, working as an operations manager for TruGreen Lawn Care, supervising 21 lawn account managers and servicing around 5,500 homes.

Approaching a decade in business, Vahle has grown Green Thumb Lawncare N’ Landscape into a nearly $1 million company.

“I’ve always had a passion for lawn care, but the administrative side of the business always prevented me from spending as much time on it as I would have liked,” he said. “The support that Spring-Green could provide—the backbone support, IT, HR, a call center, marketing, vendor relationship assistance and the offer of greater buying power—were all very attractive prospects. The extensive level of support definitely pushed me over the edge.”
