Aspire releases Pay OnDemand program

|

Aspire introduced Pay OnDemand, a new program and app that enables landscape business owners to easily provide employees with access to a portion of their earned, but unpaid, net wages in advance of payday.

With the program, employers do not have to complete additional tracking of wages — everything is processed and reconciled automatically within Aspire. The employee is able to use the app to access funds for hours worked ahead of payroll, which are immediately loaded to their payroll debit card.

There is no cost to the employer for the entire program, and employees pay a minimal fee for the convenience – $1 for a $100 advance.

Allowing employees to access wages early not only gives them more freedom with their finances but also demonstrates employees’ trust in them, fostering trust and loyalty to the organization in return, according to Aspire.

“Just having that option and where (employees) can get money up to two weeks before they would normally get paid, that’s a huge deal,” Aspire CEO Mark Tipton told LM Editor-in-Chief Seth Jones at the Aspire 2020 Client Conference. “I think it’s a great benefit for the HR groups within our customers, because they’re constantly dealing with payroll advances for employees.

“Obviously payroll’s a big deal for everyone in the industry,” Tipton said. “We’ve been looking for a long time, given our position and the data that we have, for how can we help our customers attract better employees and keep them longer.”
