Scott Jamieson, VP of Bartlett Tree Experts, was recognized with a Certificate of Distinction from the Purdue University Agricultural Alumni Association.

The award, bestowed to six recipients this year, recognizes “contributions to agriculture—and society in general—that go far beyond the requirements of a job or profession.”

As VP of Bartlett, Jamieson is responsible for corporate partnerships and national recruiting in 27 states. He also is director of Bartlett Inventory Solutions, a digital system for conducting tree inventories to develop interactive tree-management and tree-preservation plans.

The Certificate of Distinction is the second award Jamieson has received from Purdue University, having earlier received the Distinguished Agriculture Alumnus Award.

“We are awed by the contributions of professional and community service of this year’s award recipients,” said Donya Lester, executive director of the alumni association. “They represent the best of our agricultural and natural resources profession. Our university, our profession and certainly a number of our communities are stronger because of their work.”

Over his 30-year career in the green industry, Jamieson has been actively involved in a variety of national, statewide and local industry and civic organizations. Nationally, he has served as president of the Professional Land Care Network, chair of the Tree Care Industry Association, board member of the National Safety Council and board member of the Alliance for Community Trees, to name a few designations.
