Case Construction Equipment debuted its 580N EP, the newest edition to its line of Tier 4 Final backhoe loaders.

The 580N EP is a lower-horsepower version of the company’s 580N backhoe, but it maintains the same backhoe lift capacity and breakout force with greater fuel efficiency and a maintenance-free Tier 4 Final solution, says Case. It also features Case’s particulate matter catalyst, which is a combination of a diesel oxidation catalyst and a flow-through filter that requires no fluids or diesel particulate filter maintenance.

According to the company, the backhoe has a bucket breakout force of 11,517 lbs. and a lift capacity of 2,858 lbs. Like Case’s other N Series backhoes, the 580N is powered by a Fiat Powertrain engine with selective catalytic reduction technology.

In addition, the loader comes standard with ProControl and can be further expanded with auxiliary hydraulics, Engine ECO Mode and comfort steer. It also features power lift, speed selectable automatic ride control, an integrated hydraulic quick coupler, auto engine protection shutdown, S-type auto shifting transmission and heated air-ride seats.
