Andy Ferguson

KENT, OHIO—The Davey Tree Expert Co. has promoted Phil Snyder and Andy Ferguson in the Residential/Commercial service line.

Snyder has been promoted to vice president of East Atlantic residential and commercial operations. Snyder joined Davey in June 2008 as a result of Davey’s merger with The Care of Trees. He most recently held the position of operations manager of Davey’s Northeast Operating Group. He holds a bachelor’s degree in forest management from the University of Vermont, is an International Society of Arboriculture certified arborist and certified Maryland Tree Expert.

Davey Tree also promoted Ferguson to residential operations manager of the South Central Operating Group’s residential and commercial services group. Ferguson will oversee operations in Colorado and Texas. Most recently, Ferguson served as district manager for the West Denver office. He has a forestry degree from the State University of New York and is an International Society of Arboriculture certified arborist.

Jim Stief, executive vice president, operations, notes both Snyder’s and Ferguson’s past experience at the company has prepared them well for these opportunities.

“Over the last several years, Phil and Andy have accomplished quite a lot despite an uncertain economy,” he says. “I believe they have the work ethic, enthusiasm and persistence to strategically expand Davey Tree in their respective geographies.”
