Exmark releases propane mower, expands options

|

EX16_Rear_DischargeExmark released its UltraCut Rear Discharge cutting deck, added a 60-inch version of its Vantage S-Series Propane stand-on rider and expanded its suspended operator platform at GIE+EXPO in Louisville, Ky., Oct. 21-23.

UltraCut Rear Discharge

Exmark will offer its UltraCut Rear Discharge cutting deck as an option on the Lazer Z X-Series zero-turn riding mower for 2016. It’s the first time the company has offered a rear-discharge option on this machine.

Exmark’s UltraCut Rear Discharge cutting deck is designed to reduce noise and increase clipping control and the ability to trim on both sides of the deck, the company said. Flow-control baffles work with a counter-rotating blade design to reduce clipping over-processing and horsepower requirements. Available in 60- or 72-inch cutting widths, the 5.5-inch deep deck uses a welded and reinforced 7-gauge, high-strength alloy steel shell. The no-maintenance spindles are sealed from the elements and designed to deliver a lifetime of reliable service without greasing, according to Exmark.

In addition to the Lazer Z X-Series, Exmark offers the UltraCut Rear Discharge cutting deck as an option on the following models:

  • Pioneer S-Series—60-inch cutting deck;
  • Lazer Z E-Series—60- or 72-inch cutting deck; and
  • Lazer Z DS-Series—60- or 72-inch cutting deck.

Vantage S-Series Propane

EX16_Vantage_S-Series_Propane_InUse_1A Kohler Command Pro PCV740 V-Twin EFI propane engine powers the Vantage S-Series Propane ride-on mower. The professional-grade design uses automotive-style closed-loop electronic fuel injection, designed to eliminate carburetor-related issues and automatically adjust to load, weather and altitude. Plus, the EFI design offers a key start.

The 60-inch UltraCut Series 4 side-discharge cutting deck features Exmark’s flow-control baffles, heavy-duty welded construction and high-strength 7-gauge spindle reinforcements. Maintenance-reducing features include sealed, no-maintenance spindles and Exmark’s spherical bearing design idler arm pivots, the company said.

Suspended operator platform

Exmark added suspended operator platform-equipped 52-inch Lazer Z E-Series and 72-inch Lazer Z X-Series options to the existing 60-inch options in both models for 2016.

The suspended operator platform uses three coil-over hydraulic dampers to reduce the impact of bumps and vibration. It provides 3.6 inches of travel in vertical and fore-aft directions with trailing arms to limit lateral travel and increase operator stability.
