Houzz adds affiliation badges for ASLA, APSP

|

Palo Alto, Calif.-based Houzz, an online platform for residential designers and service providers, debuted an affiliation badge program. It enables professionals on Houzz to add badges to their profiles, showcasing their affiliation with trade associations. For the partner organizations, the badges provide a channel for educating consumers and raising awareness among the broader Houzz community.

Launch partners for Houzz Affiliation Badges include national trade associations, local trade association chapters, design schools and nonprofits. Those relevant to the landscape industry include the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and Association of Pool and Spa Professionals (APSP).

“Houzz provides an incredible platform to help raise consumer awareness of and appreciation for the profession of landscape architecture and to help build the brands of our members’ firms,” said Ann Looper Pryor, ASLA managing director of publishing and resource development.

The badges provide a way for consumers and other professionals in the Houzz community to learn more about each organization. Each badge links to a profile page in which people can find more detailed information, including articles and other educational content developed by the organization, as well as a directory of that organization’s community members. Coming soon, professionals will be able to easily add their affiliation badges to their websites powered by Houzz Site Designer.

More than 20 million people–90 percent of whom are homeowners–use Houzz to collaborate, research and hire professionals, source products and manage home renovation projects.
