Landscape Development named a new vice president of maintenance: Fredric Haskett.

Haskett has been a part of the landscape industry for more than 35 years, with his most recent position as branch manager for Trugreen Landcare in San Diego. Haskett’s work experience includes levels of management working for The J C Ehrlich Green Team, The Brickman Group and The Valleycrest Companies.

He founded his own residential lawn care company and grew Greenwood Lawn & Landscape Management from a one-man operation to a multifaceted firm with revenues reaching nearly one million dollars.

In 1995, Haskett published “Containment Systems Design,” a guidebook for chemical storage, mixing and recycling. He was honored with the Trailblazer Award for Lifetime Green Industry Achievement by the Professional Land Care Network in 2006.

Haskett said he is “looking forward to the growth of the landscape management division in terms of profitability.” His plan is to work with the team “to move the division forward” from where it stands today. Haskett added his strength is in his “ability to observe and adapt a great management process and to assess what is currently working and not working.” His main focus “is in creating a strong team builder process and allowing everyone to be a part of a cohesive team.”

Haskett is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he studied landscape design and horticulture.
