The National Hispanic Landscape Alliance (NHLA) launched a campaign to encourage landscape professionals to proclaim their pride in being “green collared.”

“It’s time to celebrate landscape industry professionals across the country,” said Pam Berrios, president of NHLA.  “They combine a passion for the outdoors, a commitment to environmental stewardship, an eye for natural beauty and the knowledge and knack for creating and sustaining it.”

Entitled “Proud to be Green Collared, Making America more than Beautiful,” the campaign not only seeks to increase awareness of the environmental and human health benefits of managed landscapes, but also to recognize landscape professionals—regardless of job title or specific duties—who create and maintain them.

Bumper stickers for the campaign are available for $5, and all proceeds will go toward scholarships for students preparing for a career as a landscape professional.
