People on the Move: Promotions and appointments from The Greenery, Ewing and Profile Products

The Greenery appointed Janet Davoli as chief technology officer (CTO).

As CTO, Davoli will work with executive management to achieve the company’s strategic goals and grow The Greenery through the use of technological resources.

With an MBA from Adelphi University and a bachelor’s in mathematics with a minor in computer science from Binghamton University in New York, Davoli is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in technology design and implementation, operations, business development and marketing. During the past eleven years that she has been with The Greenery, Davoli has a proven track record of increasing sales and growing the bottom line, while forging teamwork and commitment through all levels of the organization, according to the company.

Prior to this promotion, Davoli has served as director of business development at The Greenery. She has led companywide business development, spearheaded and implemented new technology platforms and guided marketing strategies.

Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply promoted Phil Kerchner to the eastern division vice president.

Kerchner joined Ewing in the spring of 2018 as the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic regional manager.

“Having Phil assume the division leadership role was a natural fit,” said Douglas W. York, Ewing’s president and CEO. “He’s done an exceptional job of bringing Ewing’s culture and quality service level into the Northeast, and I’m confident he will continue to lead our Eastern Division with that same success.”

Kerchner has more than 35 years in the green industry, with more than 20 years of previous experience as a vice president, successfully leading as many as 160 locations. Previously, he served as the business development director at Vista Professional Outdoor Lighting. Prior to Vista, Kerchner was with John Deere Landscapes for 19 years, most recently serving as its regional vice president.

Kerchner earned a Bachelor of Science in agriculture and forestry from West Virginia University.

Profile Products hired Michelle Lee as director of human resources.

Lee will be responsible for all HR activity throughout the company and will work closely with the executive leadership team on strategic initiatives.

“Michelle has a wealth of knowledge in employee relations, recruiting and training in manufacturing and corporate work environments,” said Cal Stuart, vice president and CFO of Profile Products. “We are confident her expertise will benefit all of our employees.”

Lee is a Professional in Human Resources and is SHRM certified. Prior to working for Profile, she held senior HR roles for several manufacturing and engineering companies including Daifuku Wynright, Progressive Components, HR Green and Stepan Company. She is an active member of the Illinois Society of Human Resources Management and has previously held leadership roles in the organization, including president and vice president. She has her undergraduate degree from Illinois State University and her MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.

Lee will be based at Profile’s corporate office in Buffalo Grove, Ill.
