Project EverGreen calls for donations via online giving

This holiday season, Project EverGreen has joined two programs for charitable giving: #GivingTuesday and AmazonSmile.

A national effort designed to help non-profit organizations raise money using social media, #GivingTuesday takes place on Dec. 3, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, when social media users are encouraged to use “#GivingTuesday” in a post referencing a meaningful nonprofit or organization.

The second opportunity for giving comes from Amazon.com. Shoppers are encouraged to visit www.smile.amazon.com and select Project EverGreen as their organization of choice for a percentage of their  purchases to be donated to Project EverGreen. It doesn’t cost any extra and there are no hidden fees.

“Part of Project EverGreen’s mission is to improve lives by renovating the green spaces in communities around the country,” said Cindy Code, executive director of Project EverGreen. “The Giving Tuesday and AmazonSmile programs seek to do the same thing by providing organizations like ours with the funding they need to do their work.”
