Toro releases climate-controlled safety cab

1266507815ToroLogo1_650The Toro Co.’s new, all-season safety cab is climate controlled and equipped with a number of safety features, including a low-profile roof, rollover protection system and pressurized air filtration system. The cab is available for Toro Groundsmaster 4010-D, 4110-D and 5910-D wide-area rotary mowers.

The cab’s air conditioning and heating system includes five individual air-vent controls with full 360-degree rotation. It is designed so the operator can direct air for comfort and defrost/de-mist capabilities. Adjustable air-balance control also allows operators to select outside air, cabin air or a combination of both.

“We understand that productivity and operator experience are directly proportional,” said Kevin Conry, senior marketing manager at Toro. “When an operator is comfortable, downtime is reduced and efficiency is maximized. This new cab incorporates many new features to combat operator fatigue, ultimately leading to an improved experience and an overall extremely efficient operation.”

In addition to comfort, the company said the new cab design offers all-round visibility. The front and rear windows open for ventilation, and quick-release window latches on front and rear windows allow emergency exit on four sides. Plus, the door and rear windows also have 50-percent tinted glass, meant to reduce heat and glare.

According to Toro, other standard features include a fully adjustable deluxe seat with air suspension, upholstered interior panels, an interior mirror and dome light, and foldaway side mirrors.

The ROPS-certified cab complies with applicable ANSI and CE requirements.
