For landscape company owners looking to network with their peers, there’s a new outlet on an existing social media platform to do so.

Adam Linnemann, president of Linnemann Lawn Care & Landscaping, founded the Lawn & Landscape Business Professionals private Facebook group in April as a peer group to help other professionals grow their businesses.

“I started it to network and to share other business related successes and some problematic issues that we all seem to have in common,” said Linnemann. He chose Facebook as a venue because he finds it easy to navigate compared to other social media sites like LinkedIn.

The group, which is free and currently has 137 members, is accepting new participants; however, it’s for owners/shareholders only. It’s not open to managers, supervisors, suppliers and others allied to the industry.

To join, visit Facebook.com/groups/landscapepros/ and select “join group.” Administrators will contact prospective members via Facebook to confirm they are a company owner.
