iQ Power Tools released two new 16.5-inch hard material arrayed diamond blades. iQ Power Tools manufactures power tools with integrated dust collection systems.

The two new blades will be a part of iQ Power Tools’ line of Dry-Cut Saws, which are engineered to cut the hardest of materials, according to the company.

The blades incorporate the latest in diamond tool technology, with the ideal ratio of high diamond to metal powder concentration, according to the company. The blades, called Hard-Brick and Hard Concrete, have the ability to cut materials like hard brick, hard concrete and stone products, like pavers.

When one row of diamonds on the new blade begins to wear out, there is a second row right behind it, ready to begin cutting. The company’s Cool Cut Technology cuts cool while reducing vibration and movement. This technology, combined with the built-in vacuum on all iQ saws, keep the blade cool to the touch. The vacuum system also removes the cutting debris, so the blade is not regrinding the same material, reducing friction and heat.

Sarah Hurtado, iQ’s marketing manager, said, “Testing is paramount to meet our quality objective. We literally make tens of thousands of cuts when designing each blade. We’re continuously listening to customer feedback and researching new materials in our blade development.”

These new blades deliver faster and more consistent cutting speeds. Attendees at this year’s Hardscape North America in Louisville, Ky., Oct. 16-19 can see the new blades in action at iQ Power Tools’ booths No. 20014 and 4220D.
