Irrigation Association hosts Technician Week
The Irrigation Association (IA) will host its Technician Week from April 18-22, where irrigation technicians can earn 20 CEUs by attending virtual classes and be certified within the same week.
Landscape irrigation technicians participating will take a set of virtual classes specifically for technicians, held via Zoom, April 18-21. A certified irrigation technician exam will be offered in-person in Fairfax, Va., on Friday, April 22.
Technician Week courses include:
- Irrigation components for residential/small commercial systems, April 18 from 10 a.m-2 p.m. EST, 4 CEUs
- Electrical troubleshooting: diagnosing field wiring problems, April 18 from 3-7 p.m. EST, 4 CEUs
- Hydraulic troubleshooting, April 19, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., 4 CEUs
- Landscape irrigation technician (Part 1), April 20, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; (Part 2) April 21, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., 8 CEUs
Following the week of review courses, attendees can take the paper/pencil certified irrigation technician exam on April 22 from 9 a.m.to 2 p.m. at IA headquarters in Fairfax, Va. In addition to the CIT exam, IA said all its certification exams will be offered on April 22.
