People on the Move: TruGreen names new CFO; Ewing names new vp of business development; LM bids farewell to associate editor

TruGreen named Brian Hamm as its new CFO.

As CFO at TruGreen, Hamm will be responsible for ensuring the finance organization can enable the company to continue to grow. Hamm joins TruGreen from Energizer Holdings, where he served as executive vice president and CFO, leading the finance, controllership, internal audit, investor relations, tax and treasury functions. David Martin, TruGreen’s current CFO, will move into the new role of vice president of sourcing and accounting.

Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply appointed Jeff Lanahan as the company’s executive vice president of business development.

In this new role, Lanahan will participate in strategy development and execution for the company’s continued growth and expansion. Lanahan’s background includes experience in strategic planning and operations, mergers and acquisitions, procurement and logistics, sales and marketing, accounting and finance, talent management and information technology. “For 95 years, Ewing has been extending its reach, services and products throughout the country. Jeff’s immense knowledge and experience in our industry and business will strengthen our strategy and efforts in this area,” said Douglas York, president and CEO.

Landscape Management Associate Editor Dillon Stewart traded in his green industry cap for a Cleveland one. He joined the staff of Cleveland Magazine.
