Avenue South herbicide registered for California use

August 29, 2016 -  By

PBI-Employee-Owned-LogoCalifornia contractors can now integrate the Avenue South Broadleaf Herbicide into their operations.

The herbicide manufactured by PBI/Gordon was registered for use in California by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation. The product is ready to ship, according to the company.

“Improved turfgrass varieties are becoming as popular in California as they have in the South,” said Dave Loecke, herbicide product manager for PBI/Gordon. “But they can be sensitive. New Avenue South gives California pros a powerful tool for killing tough broadleaf weeds fast, without damaging their new grass varieties.”

Avenue South combines four active ingredients, in a propriety formula, designed to control more than 90 broadleaf weeds. It’s also safe for warm season turfgrass, like St. Augustine grasses, according to the company.

PBI-Gordon introduced the new Avenue South broadleaf herbicide at the 2015 GIE+EXPO.
