Classen added its HSC18 Pro Sod Cutter to its product line. Designed for enhanced transport and cutting speeds, the sod cutter comes in 52-in. or 55-in. options, making it the shortest cutter in the industry.

The sod cutter includes Hydro-Gear T2 hydrostatic drive and power reverse. It comes available with two engine options: a 5 hp Honda GX160 engine or an 8 hp Honda GX240. According to the company, the transmission and engine allow the operator to achieve transport speeds as high as 4.7 mph.

The HSC18 features a cutting blade centered on the bottom of the machine capable of cutting 20 strokes per second. Blades are available in 12-, 16-, 20- and 24-in. length sizes and can be adjusted down to 2 1/2 in.

In addition, the cutter has a vibration dampening system and knobby wheels for maximum traction. It also includes an integrated throttle/clutch control on the handle for easy operation and improved safety.
