Ditch Witch unveiled the new OptiCut digging system for its walk-behind trenchers.

Ideal for depths up to 36 inches deep and 3.5 inches wide, the OptiCut digging system uses a low-profile tooth design for a smoother cut with less wear on the chain, the company said.

“Opticut was designed with a clear focus on (contractors’) needs, uptime, productivity and profitability,” said Steve Seabolt, service parts product manager for Ditch Witch. “We challenged our engineering teams to maintain product integrity while significantly reducing cost, and the OptiCut exceeded expectations with an innovative, productive and durable design that saves customers time and money.”

Available tooth configurations include a 4-pitch DuraTooth, a 2-pitch Shark and a 2-pitch DuraTooth/Shark combination.

The OptiCut digging system is compatible with the new Ditch Witch C12, C14, C16, C16X, C24X and C30X walk-behind trenchers, but it can be adapted to other makes and models through the use of a special conversion sprocket.
