FD2B Talk Radio Insight of the Night: Job costing tips

With his laid back southern style and more than half a dozen y’alls throughout the evening, consultant Jerry Gaeta provided some important insights about job costing.

Gaeta says job costing is something that must be done during the project and not after it’s completed. He compares it to a football coach who has one plan before the game starts but at halftime has to make modifications based on the current situation and score.

By analyzing your labor and materials during the installation and not after, you can better manage the profitability of the job and hone both your estimating and management skills without ever having to cut corners.

To gain even more insight, listen to the interview in its entirety.

Show: Zero to $1 Million in 60 Minutes
Guest: Jerry Gaeta, J Gaeta Business Planning, Charleston, S.C.
Date: July 11, 2013
