FIS Outdoor joins Heritage Landscape Supply Group

November 22, 2019 -  By

Heritage Landscape Supply Group acquired Florida Irrigation Supply (FIS Outdoor), an independently owned distributor of irrigation, outdoor lighting and landscape products. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Founded in Orlando, Fla., in 1974, FIS Outdoor operates a network of 39 branches across the Southeast, servicing professional irrigation and landscape contractors, municipalities, golf course superintendents and other green industry professionals. The entire FIS sales and operations team will be staying with the company to run the business, which will ensure continuity and consistency for its customer and supplier partners, according to the company. Heritage will continue to operate these branches under the FIS Outdoor name.

“We are so excited to add this game-changing and strategic acquisition to our network. With the addition of the 39 FIS locations to the growing Heritage family of companies, we gain a phenomenal group of talented industry veterans and a premier platform in the Southeast to complement our existing footprint,” said Matt McDermott, president of Heritage. “FIS provides the geographic diversity and scale to make Heritage the preferred platform for independent landscape supply distributors to join going forward. We are thrilled to partner with the Tannlers and look forward to welcoming the entire FIS team into the Heritage family.”

Jon Tannler, president of FIS Outdoor, added, “It is with great excitement that we embark on this new phase of growth for FIS Outdoor by preserving our legacy and heritage while simultaneously providing our amazing team with the resources they need to take the company to new heights. We have accomplished our goal of finding a long-term partner that would cherish our people and present them with unlimited career opportunities, the chance to be shareholders and a culture that celebrates having fun.”
