iQ Power Tools introduced the iQ426 HEPA dust extraction vacuum.

Engineered to meet OSHA’s silica dust requirements for working in construction applications, the IQ 426 HEPA features airflow-tuned cyclone technology. Less than 1 percent of the dust ever reaches the filter, which means the vacuum maintains optimum performance, according to the company.

The IQ 426 HEPA has four stages of filtration:

  • First-stage, large-cyclone captures larger particle sizes;
  • Second-stage, small-cyclones capture medium to small-sized particles;
  • Third-stage filtration system captures the tiniest particles; and
  • The fourth and final stage is HEPA.

These first two stages use cyclonic filtration, which pull and capture different sized particles from the airstream, keeping them from reaching the final two stages.

The iQ426HEPA’s iQ Power Management System offers the ability to control amp draw automatically. In addition to the auto start feature, the iQ Smart power management system automatically balances power between the power tool receptacle and the vacuum, maintaining optimum tool and dust collection performance and minimizing tripped circuit breakers.

The iQ 426 HEPA uses a certified HEPA filter capturing 99.97 percent of dust. The iQ 426 features a 10-gallon or 50-pound dust containment tub with an optional dust-containment bag system. The iQ 426 HEPA comes complete with a full array of nozzle accessories and a heavy-duty cart. The unit boasts a 190 CFM, making it OSHA-compliant to be used with a 7-inch grinder and a water lift up to 100 inches. Other features include a 14-foot antistatic hose, with effective hose storage and a weight of only 60 pounds.
