Reinders slates conference for March 11-12

Reinders is returning to the Waukesha County Expo Center in Milwaukee for its 22nd Green Industry Conference, scheduled for March 11-12.

The Sussex, Wis.-based supplier has hosted its conference and trade show every other year since 1973. The event features educational sessions, a trade show with more than 80 suppliers and manufacturers, hot homemade donuts each morning, lunch, raffle prizes and refreshments each afternoon. Attendees will have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win the show grand prize package consisting of a drone and camera.

In addition, this year’s show also will act as a kick off of its 150th anniversary, with a show theme of “Celebrating Our Past with Our Eyes on the Future.”

A program of more than 35 seminars is scheduled, with a partial list of guest speakers and topics including:

  • Jim Kerns, Ph.D., of North Carolina State University providing tips for “Maximizing Turfgrass Health Under Budgetary Constraints;”
  • Jeff Schmidt of PBI-Gordon Corp. discussing “Maximizing Weed Control;”
  • Jim Hague of Knox Fertilizer Co. answering the question, “Are Long Feeding Fertilizers and Combination Products for Me?”
  • Ed Beaulieu of Aquascape presenting on “FountainScaping: Designing & Installing Small Scale Water Features into New and Existing Landscapes;”
  • Bruce Schweiger of the University of Wisconsin talking on the topic “The ABC’s of NPK;”
  • Matt Hollingsworth of NDS providing tips about how “Drainage Enhancements Add Profits;”
  • Brian Webb and Kevin Hunt of World Class Lighting discussing “Growing Your Business with Seasonal Lighting;”
  • Dave Louttit of The Andersons talking on “New Fertilizer Solutions;”
  • Eric Baumeister of The Toro Co. providing hints for “Troubleshooting Electrical and Hydraulic System Problems;” and
  • Steve Drake of the SCD Group presenting “Harnessing Multiple Generations in the Workforce.”
