Well good morning, good afternoon, good evening whatever the case may be, this is Marty Grunder from The Grow Group for Landscape Management magazine. At Grunder Landscaping Co., we are out in full force right now. Spring is here.
Our mission statement at Grunder Landscaping is to enhance the beauty and value of every client’s property while exceeding their expectations every step of the way. Exceeding expectations are the key words in that mission statement that I want you to focus on today.
So, how do you exceed expectations?
Ladies and gentlemen, it’s not that hard to exceed expectations in the landscaping industry. When you told a client you’re going to be there on Friday, get there Friday. When a client has a dead shrub, get out there quick and replace it.
Be the person that they can count on. Put yourself in your clients shoes and think about what you would expect if you were a customer of your own company. Chances are you probably have some areas you can work on and when you figure out what those are and you focus on those on a daily basis, making your company better, you’re gonna win.
Exceed expectations: Get your team together and ask them about some areas that you think you could work on to exceed expectations. It’s not that hard.
Let me give you one final piece of advice — one of the best ways we have stood out in our 36-year history of Grunder Landscaping Co. is by having clean people, clean trucks, clean equipment and clean job sites. You can do the same and when you’re doing that, you exceed expectations.
